We know how stressful moving internationally can be and so will do all we can to ease your transition into your new role in Australia.  We will make sure that you have plenty of information before you leave home including how to find accommodation, schools, public transport, even moving your pets!

Our service to you is completely free and covers everything you need to know to make a move to Australia.  We pride ourselves on being able to offer you a recruitment service that is tailored as much as possible to your personal and professional goals. 

Getting Started

An Austra Health consultant will interview you to discuss your clinical experience and assess your suitability for different positions. 

We like to spend time talking with you to determine the options that would best suit your:

  • Preferred area of work, including ward or specialty area
  • Preferred location within Australia
  • Personal / family circumstances
  • Arrival plans

You will need to provide:

  • A completed application form including details of two professional referees

  • Proof of your qualifications and Nursing Registration

Support & Advice

Once we have determined your personal & professional goals we will refer your application to hospitals that best suit your plans.  We'll stay in touch throughout the process and make all the arrangements for any telephone or face-to-face interviews.  Click here for more information about how to prepare for an interview.

It can take several weeks for hospitals to let us know the outcome of your interviews but we will let you know as soon as possible how your interview has gone.  Hospitals will often require two clinical reference checks before they will make a final decision regarding the outcome of an interview.

Once an offer is made by a hospital, we'll explain it to you in detail including your salary, conditions and any relocation packages that may be included in your contract.

Visas & Registration Advice

We will also discuss the visa & Nursing Registration requirements for Australia in some detail and help to facilitate the relevant processes.

As soon as you formally accept an offer, you will be nominated for a visa.  Once your nomination is approved you can then apply for your visa.  We will notify you at this stage and provide you with our step-by-step guide to help you with the process.

Once your visa is approved, we can help you to plan for your relocation to Australia.
