Bayside Group Receives Ford Tony Simpson Relationship Award 2009

On 21 April 2010, Ford Motor Company held its annual Supplier Excellence Awards where the Bayside Group was presented an award designed to recognise outstanding performance in developing a mutually beneficial business relationship the "Tony Simpson Relationship Award."

"Today is an extremely proud moment for the Group and it is with honour that we accept this award," said Bayside Group Director, Robert Blanche.

"Over the past 20 years, we have strived to strengthen Ford's automotive engineering and design teams by continually improving our performance and professionalism. In this instance, we have exceeded our own expectations of what is possible when a unified partnership is embodied and actioned within every aspect of our operations."

The award was designed to build on the memory of the late Tony Simpson (former Ford Australia Purchasing Vice President), who did so much to build on the importance of supplier relationships with Ford. Ford Australia awards this honour to a company that acts as if it was an extension of their own, sharing similar values and working together in a true partnership.

"Whatever the Department within Ford or for whatever specific need arises for a project, Bayside are always there to help us find the highest standard of resource or solution available," added Sam Casabene, Vice-president of Purchasing, Ford Australia.
 
This was most definitely a joint effort on behalf of the entire business," explains Robert, "The commitment from our contract and on-hired staff as well as our recruitment consultants truly exemplifies why we are deserving of this outstanding achievement. Joe Galea, senior account manager, worked endlessly to bring all divisions together and forge the way." 

The Ford Tony Simpson Relationship award was presented to the Bayside Group, specifically for their commitment to being always there to help Ford find the highest standard of resource and solution available.

Bayside Group was also awarded the Ford recognition award for Proactive Recruitment and Training in 2008.
