Workplace Safety

We are committed to ensuring your safety and wellbeing at work.  The effectiveness of this value depends greatly on your commitment and support by:

  • Accepting safety as your responsibility. Ensure that you are working safely and report any concerns immediately.
  • Cooperating with others to assist in the improvement of safety practices and issues in the workplace.

Please refer to the Workplace Safety Guide provided to you by your Recruitment Consultant prior to commencing an assignment with us.  If you have not received this information, or if you have any questions please contact your Recruitment Consultant on 1300 BAYTECH.

What to do if you are Injured at Work

If you are injured at work, please report the incident, no matter how minor, to your Supervisor and your Recruitment Consultant immediately.

As your employer, it is our legal obligation to register any injuries you sustain in the workplace.  If you are injured at work:

  • Immediately report your injury to your Supervisor, and seek first aid if necessary.
  • Contact your Recruitment Consultant on 1300 BAYTECH as soon as possible to complete an Injury, Incident and Near Miss Report.
  • If you need to see a doctor, you must obtain a WorkCover Certificate of Capacity. Advise the staff to send the invoice to Baytech, not the company you are working at.
  • If you need time off work as a result of your injury, you must complete a Workers Compensation Claim form. Your Recruitment Consultant can assist you with completing the forms.
  • All documentation must be completed in full, signed and received by our office before any WorkCover payments can be made.

If you need assistance, or have any questions, please contact your Recruitment Consultant on 1300 BAYTECH.

All our casuals and contractors (excluding proprietary limited, unit trusts, family trusts or partnerships) are covered for Workers Compensation insurance.
